Alain Desmier

After leaving school, Alain spent a year as a teaching assistant at a prep school in Surrey and as a boarding master in a school in Australia. An English and Politics student at Exeter University, Alain spent his student days as a reporter for the campus newspaper. A fondness for speaking his mind saw Alain elected as President of the Students’ Union which led to appearances on Radio 4, Radio 5 and BBC Newsnight as well as many a student council meeting. After leaving University, Alain advised the Department of Health, JobcentrePlus and BT on their communications strategies before pursuing a career in e-commerce. He is currently Head of Business Development for LeadPoint, a new media start up based in Soho.
